Khudiram Bose Biography

Khudiram Bose was born on December 3, 1889 at Habbpur village in Midnapore district of West Bengal. His father’s name was Trelokya Nath Bose, and the mother’s name was Laxmi Priya. In his childhood, the head of Khudram Bose had risen to the parents, after which the elder sister had raised them.

Khudiram had his initial studies at Hamilton High School. Khudiram Bose had a sense of patriotism since childhood, so he started participating in political activities from school days. At the same time, they began to join the movements against the British rule.

At the same time, the atrocities and crime committed by the British indians had created so much hatred against the British rule that they were determined to liberate the country from slavery to the British and to jump into the country’s freedom struggle.

In the year 1905, Khudiram Bose gave his full support to the agitation against the British government in protest against the Partition of Bengal, and after that he devoted himself fully to the freedom movement and then came to recover as the most powerful and young revolutionary of this freedom struggle and became a source of inspiration for many youth of the country at that time. He then joined the first Revolutionary Party.

In the year 1906, when Khudiram Bose was distributing the left magazine “Sonar Bangla” by the British, he was arrested by the British police authorities, though at that time Khudiram managed to escape by injuring the British officer.

After the incident, in the year 1907, he carried out bomb blasts near police stations, looted post offices, attacked British officers and carried out all other revolutionary activities. After which the sedition case went on, but he was later dropped because of being a minor.

In Calcutta, the chief presidency was Kingsford in the post of magistrate, who was a very strict and cruel officer and was known for his tough decisions against the Indian revolutionaries. With his atrocities, virender Kumar Ghosh, leader of the Yugatar party, plotted to kill Kingsford and chose Khudiram Bose and Praful Chaki.

After which they both reached Muzaffarpur for the purpose of carrying out the work and began to monitor the daily activities of Kingsford. Then, on April 30, 1908, Khudiram Bose and Praful Chaki threw a bomb at him when he saw a bagghy like Kigsford coming from the front in the darkness of night, but unfortunately Kingsford’s wife and daughter were killed in the incident, but Khudiram and his companions understood at the time that they succeeded in killing Kingsford. So, they both escaped from the revolutionary spot.

After the incident, Khudiram’s accomplice Praful Chaki was surrounded by British authorities, who saw him shoot himself, after Khudiram was arrested by British police officers, and a murder case was registered. Even after the arrest, Khudiram Bose was not afraid of the British officers, but he confessed his guilt of attempting to murder Kingsford.

The young revolutionary was sentenced to death by the court in July 13, 1908, and then, on August 11, 1908, the fearless revolutionary was hanged from the noose of the hanging. In this way, Khudiram fought for the freedom of the country till the last breath of his life and laid down his soul.

When he was hanged, he was only 19 years old. After the martyrdom of this young revolutionary in the country, there was more anger against the British and all the youngsters participated in the country’s freedom fight.
